What We Do

We create positive opportunities for children, young people and families through community events, environmental activities, volunteering, practical learning, acts of kindness and creative campaigns.

Our work is about much more than fundraising. We want to bring people together, help families feel included, care for our local area and show young people that their ideas can make a difference.

Community Comes First

At the heart of George & Alfie Give Back is a desire to create a kinder, more connected community. Our activities are designed to give children and families opportunities to join in, discover something new and feel part of something positive.

Community engagement is at the heart of what we do. George & Alfie Give Back CIC organises a variety of family-friendly activities and events designed to encourage participation, connection and positive community involvement.

  • Seasonal community events and celebrations
  • Family activity days and themed events
  • Community stalls, raffles and tombolas
  • Car boot sales and local engagement events
  • Giveaways and community support initiatives
  • Community meet-ups and social activities for families

Not every positive outcome can be measured in pounds. Sometimes the difference is food being saved from waste, a street being left cleaner, wildlife receiving care, a local business being discovered or a family enjoying an activity together.

Fighting Food Waste With OLIO

George and Alfie’s community work includes collecting surplus food through OLIO and helping it reach local people instead of going to waste.

Each collection helps rescue perfectly usable food, reduce unnecessary waste and encourage more sustainable habits within the community.

We share collection updates to show how much food can be saved and to encourage more people to discover local food-sharing services.

Caring for Our Local Environment

A strong community also takes care of the place it shares.

George and Alfie support environmental projects through litter picking, wildlife activities and their involvement in the Adopt a Street initiative with Wyre Forest District Council.

Adopt a Street encourages local volunteers to help keep chosen roads and public areas cleaner. It gives the boys a practical way to take responsibility for their surroundings and inspire others to do the same.

Their environmental work also includes:

  • Looking after birds, hedgehogs and other wildlife
  • Caring for chickens and learning about animal welfare
  • Growing fruit, vegetables and herbs
  • Reducing food waste
  • Encouraging respect for nature
  • Sharing simple sustainable ideas that families can try

Discovering and Reviewing Local Places

George and Alfie enjoy exploring attractions, independent businesses, outdoor spaces and interesting family-friendly places.

We share genuine reviews from a family perspective to help other people decide where to visit and what to expect.

Where possible, our reviews include practical information about:

  • What children and families can enjoy
  • Prices and value for money
  • Parking and accessibility
  • Food, drink and facilities
  • Quieter or busier times
  • What to know before visiting
  • George and Alfie’s favourite parts

We also enjoy celebrating the people, businesses and organisations that help make our local area special.

Our reviews are based on our genuine experience. If a visit, product or experience has been gifted, we will always make this clear.

Creative Fundraising and Working With Charities

George & Alfie Give Back combines fun and purpose.

Instead of traditional fundraising alone, we focus on creative challenges, community engagement and memorable experiences that bring people together. Whether it’s dressing up as characters, meeting new people or running interactive campaigns, everything we do is designed to make giving back exciting, accessible and meaningful.

Alongside our community events, we also support charities, organisations and local causes through awareness campaigns and fundraising activities. We take time to understand the organisations we support so that our events and activities are meaningful, respectful and genuinely beneficial to the cause involved.

  • Raffles & Tombolas

Fun, engaging fundraising activities with prizes.

  • Car Boot Sales

Community events that raise funds and awareness.

  • Fundraising Challenges

Creative and exciting challenges for a cause.

  • Awareness Campaigns

Helping spread the word about important causes.

  • Community Stalls

Positive local engagement that brings people together.

  • Donation Boxes

Supporting charities through local business placements.

We always aim to ensure fundraising and awareness activities are carried out with the appropriate permissions, approvals or guidance where required.

Inspiring Young People

One of the most important parts of George and Alfie’s impact is showing other children that they can contribute too.

Young people do not need to wait until they are adults to:

  • Have a positive idea
  • Speak up for an important cause
  • Volunteer within their community
  • Care for wildlife and the environment
  • Learn new skills
  • Encourage others to get involved
  • Turn something they enjoy into a way of helping

With suitable guidance and responsible adult support, small ideas can grow into something powerful.
